Listen to Jonell Mosser just once in concert and you’ll be an instant believer.
She sings with all-out passion and heart. No frills. No games. Just a soulful
intensity that makes you realize you’re in the presence of the real thing, not
some manufactured, corporate-approved diva of the sort littering the
landscape these days.

Nell’s song “Don’t Blow Up The Mountain” has 12,000 hits on YouTube.  If you’ve never seen the destructive force of a mountain being blown up, check out Shelby Bottom String Band’s video.

Three of Nell’s songs (“East Nashville Rag”, “Don’t Blow Up The Mountain” and “He Don’t Fool Around”) were featured on Shelby Bottom String Band’s East Nashville Rag album. Two of Michael songs were also featured on this album (“Fat and Bald” and “You Got Me Lovin’ You”.) Take a look at our fun East Nashville Rag video.

The Tennessean described Nell’s song and video about gentrification, “Displacement Blues,” as “Nashville’s latest social justice anthem.”  It features rising singer/songwriter Darrin Bradbury in the lead cameo role. It received Metro Nashville Arts THRIVE funding and a grant from the Puffin Foundation.

Nell’s song/video, “Where Are The Women: The Tomato-Gate Song,” a satirical commentary of the dearth of female singers on country radio, stars country artists Cheryl Desere’e and Rachael Hester.
